a letter to amberly

Lately I’ve been feeling like some particular friends of mine don’t like me, and I can’t seem to communicate with them like I want to sometimes

dear amberly,

I do not know if you are a fellow neurodivergent, but your experience is something that I can most certainly relate to. I do not wish to make this about myself, so forgive me if my saying so comes across that way, but given how I have been impacted by similar feelings, I think it's important for me to say that while I believe intuition is sometimes a reliable source, I also think it is important to give your friends the benefit of the doubt. I know this is sort of counterintuitive, but have you considered talking to them about it? it seems like you have little to lose given the state of things and your interpretation of their actions.

although I cannot say whether or not you are right about your friends, I hope you are not. I hope they love and cherish you and that there are external factors influencing this misconnection. however, if this continues hurting you, maybe some time away from them would be beneficial regardless of their reasons. I hope this situation settles down and that you feel better about it soon. please keep me updated if you feel comfortable enough to do so.
