a letter to mariana
I feel like I'm aware that I'm slowly falling out of love with my husband. I don't feel loved by him after all he's done. I feel as if the relationship has come to an end, but I can't leave because part of me still loves him.
I just found out my husband cheated on me, with a coworker from his old job. A friend of mine informed me of when he found out, which was the same day. I am ready for a divorce.
dear mariana,
my apologies for taking so long to get back to you. it seems that life has been devastating these past two weeks for both of us, although in significantly distinct ways.
as you face such a convoluted matter, i wonder what your relationship with regret is. while it is comprehensible to have some, i wish you none of it. i hope this pain was or will be worth it. i hope that all your heartache is only to unlock a new space for all the ravishing things this world has to offer. no one deserves to lose love and trust, but you will make it through. and while i am attempting to keep my words optimistic, i want you to know that i consider your husband to be a despicable asshole that deserves to spend the remainder of his life eating stale broccoli and burnt rice.
i believe in karma, and i will always be here if you need a stranger to chat with.
