a letter to max

When people don’t want to hang out with me I am obsessively lonely and when they do want to hang out with me I want to be by myself
dear max,
I can't help but to find your predicament funny, but I want you to know that I do so respectfully.
the reason why it humors me is precisely because I experience the same and often find myself outraged by the mismatches caused by life. as a child, I asked why? more times than anyone found tolerable, and most people would say I still do. consequently, I wonder what life, the universe, or any religious entity is trying to get at. are we supposed to learn to be content in our loneliness? is this a perpetual state that needs to be accepted or is it meant to be challenged? when is alone time healing and revigorating? when does it become dangerous?
regardless of the answers, I hope you always find the balance, max.
